Beach Bar Review: The Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park, NJ

It’s such a tease to stay by the ocean in winter (props to all of you cold weather waterwomen who get out there no matter the temp), but @theasburyhotel still had us feeling some type of way this holiday weekend. In a few words: Hyped for summer.

This 3-year-old bungalow chic hotel in Asbury Park, NJ has everything you need inside: Bar, coffee bar, a hang-friendly lobby, pool table, live music, photo booth, minimalist rooms for the sunburnt and sand-covered... But its true appeal is outside. It’s a two-block walk from the beach, boardwalk, and the famous Paramount Theatre.

Other well-known pals a few steps away? The Stone Pony, Wonder Bar, and Asbury Lanes, which got a well-deserved makeover (from, which owns The Asbury Hotel, btw) to revive its bowling lanes and concert stage/dance floor in May.

If you think we woke up in the room’s plushy, white king bed wishing it was our bikini and not our winter jacket hanging from the wooden rack on the wall, you’d be correct. But that time will come soon enough... and you better believe we’ll be the first ones at the rooftop pool then.
